What to do when you get here:
You enter the parking lot. “Ok, I know I can do this, please, just let me find building “A.” Palms are sweaty, there’s a tight feeling in your stomach and your mouth is dry. You enter the double doors, hear music, see other students and realize you must be at least close to the right place. As you walk into the auditorium, the smiling faces relieve some of the pressure. So far, so good.
As you look around you see information concerning student events. Summer Camp (“wonder where they are going?”) “What is DNow and how do I sign up?” You see pictures of recent scavenger hunts and ski retreats and you start to think that maybe this could be pretty cool. You soon find out there are other events geared strictly for you; “See You at The Pole” rallies, mission projects, and many others.
By now the tightness in your gut has eased, your palms are drying out and you’re starting to relax. “This wasn’t so bad after all” Another crisis diverted!
